My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was convenient for visiting the school but needed updating and repairs. The dining experience had potential but was marred by constant noise. The service, while courteous, had difficulties with my reservation. The rooms offered a view but were affected by multiple issues, such as construction noise and loud air conditioning.
The hotel has a great location close to Johns Hopkins but may not suit travelers without a vehicle. The rooms, while having necessary components for a good visit, show signs of wear and tear like cracked floors in the restaurant area. The service is gracious and efficient until check out. Dining at Gertrude's could be improved, although it offers a rich bowl of freshly cut fruits. The facilities are adequate but could be better maintained.
